The first step is to schedule your appointment by calling us at (510) 845-7003. If for any reason you cannot keep a scheduled appointment, or will be delayed, please call our office as soon as possible. Once you’ve scheduled your appointment, take a minute to meet our team so we’re not strangers when you first arrive.

Once you’ve locked in your appointment, please complete the forms below at least 48 hours prior to your appointment so we can get to know you before your visit. Please also send x-rays from your previous dentist ahead of time. The information you provide in your patient forms will prepare our team to provide the best possible care for you. When you arrive at your appointment time, there will be a couple additional forms for you to fill out in our office. We look forward to getting to know you!

At Berkeley Dental, we accept most traditional insurance plans. For payment, we accept cash, check, and credit card. For your peace of mind, feel free to contact our office ahead of your visit to verify acceptance of your plan and payment options. We also offer an in-house membership plan that you can sign up for if you don’t have current dental coverage. For more information, please call our office for details.

Dr. Heather Dinh graduated from the esteemed UCSF School of Dentistry and has been working in the dental field for over a decade. She practices with a preventative treatment philosophy and adheres to minimally invasive strategies. Empowering her patients through education, transparency and compassion is her goal at the end of each day. Dr. Dinh loves living in the East Bay and can often be found exploring the outdoors with her husband, two kids, pup and chickens.

Kristine is a Registered Dental Hygienist. She spent her early career in Human Resources and the telecommunications industry before pursuing her true passion of the health and nutrition field. She loves her career as a dental hygienist. In particular, Kristine finds delivering oral health education as a means of disease prevention and improved overall health both worthwhile and fulfilling.

A SF Bay Area native and Cal grad (Go Bears!), Kristine currently resides in the Tri-Valley area with her husband, teen son, preteen daughter, and two cats. In her spare time, she enjoys watching her kids unearth their creativity when not on their electronic devices, volunteering at the Berkeley Free Clinic and at her kids’ schools, hiking with friends, and gathering with extended family (including her 105-year-old grandma) almost every Saturday night.

Claire is a Registered Dental Hygienist and a Bay Area native. As a child, she always looked forward to going to the dentist, and started seriously considering dental hygiene as a career her sophomore year of high school. She knew she wanted to have a career helping others and feels fortunate to have found that in dental hygiene. Claire enjoys volunteering locally and plans to volunteer abroad. Claire has many loves in life, including travel, being in nature, reading, walking her dog Tucker, cuddling with her kitty Birdie, acapella music, watercolor painting, and spending time with her family and friends.

Janna grew up in Florida and graduated from the University of Central Florida with a Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Sciences. Before coming to our practice as a dental assistant, Janna worked as a dental insurance coordinator in Denver, Colorado. She is grateful to be able to learn firsthand from Dr. Rainey and is thrilled to work alongside such an amazing team.  Outside of work, Janna enjoys doing arts and crafts, and spending quality time with family, friends, and her two rescue cats.

Derby graduated from Tulane University in New Orleans with her bachelor's and master's degrees in neuroscience. Derby has been interested in dentistry from a young age as it combines her passions in science, art, and medicine. She is originally from the Bay Area and is happy to be back and enjoying all it offers. Derby spends her time outside the office on hikes with family and friends, playing softball in the City of Berkeley league, and cooking.
